We are sooooooo stoked to be working with Georgiana Molloy Anglican School on a Noongar Six Seasons art mural this year, especially given that 2019 is the Year of Indigenous Languages. We started painting in late April with the Year 12 leadership group, as part of their ‘gift to the school’, a wonderful annual initiative that GMAS kicked off a few years ago. Bill is just loving being able to put his artistic talents to such good use and to work with such an impressive group of young people. And we were so happy that local elder Aunty Gloria Hill came along to help out, talk with the students about her life and make us giggle with her great sense of humour! What a moorditj Noongar yorga! The students will unveil the finished product in October at their graduation ceremony, so no spoilers…..but here’s a sneak peek. Stay tuned!
